There’s something so refreshing about spring. After months of cooler weather, shorter days, and months of holiday clutter, many of us feel an urge to tidy and spruce up our homes to embrace the new season. We also want to spend more of our time outside enjoying the beautiful weather, flowers in bloom, and longer days, right? However, it can be difficult to know where to begin to give your space a fresh feel.

If you are wanting to spruce up your outdoor area for Spring and are trying to keep it simple, this post is for you! Personally, I look for simple ways to update my house for each season, so I wanted to share a few of my tips on how to sprinkle a little bit of Spring onto your patio this season!

FIRST THINGS FIRST…

Start by gathering all of your spring decor items such as trays, flowers, vases, candles, and books into one area of your home. From there you can pick and choose pieces that fit together!

BRING YOUR INDOORS OUTSIDE…

Spring is a time of rebirth and renewal for the outdoors, and if you’re looking to continue this vibe throughout your home, you can’t forget your patio! One simple tip is to frame your patio with chic curtain panels. I bought these all-weather white curtains for our back patio from Amazon and they perfectly completed the look of my outdoor living room. I can’t tell you how often we spend our evenings hanging out together on our patio, grilling out, sipping wine, and watching the curtains sway ever so slightly in the breeze. It can be just as important as your indoors!

FOR END TABLES…

Start by stacking a couple of Spring or gardening books. Next add a full vase or candle on top. While adding different pieces, visualize a vertical and horizontal triangle for your items to vary the height and width. This draws the eye in at different levels, making your decor eye catching!

FOR COFFEE TABLES…

Start with a tray that fits the rooms’ aesthetic. Then add a layering element such as a book and top that with a spring piece of decor. Add in a vase full of florals or shells and finish it with a candle & coasters and you are set!

If you are anything like me, you love decorating your home for the seasons, but need it to be quick and simple setup and take down so you can keep up with the business of this thing called life! I hope you find these simple ways useful when you go to Spruce up your Outdoor Area for Spring!
