I recently had the pleasure of shooting this modernized Mediterranean home in the charming cobblestone Vias neighborhood for Ansana Interior Design! This home was a custom design by Charles Clayton Homes, and they really knocked it out of the park! So much so, they scored the cover and a feature in Interior Appeal Magazine!
This design project was a complete home Reno. The client was a young family from California who wanted a more updated design, but also something that also would keep the Mediterranean character shining through!
Before the renovation, the living and dining rooms put off a chopped up feeling due to half walls, arched entryways, columns, and coffered ceilings. To open the space up, they raised the ceiling, and Nancy of Ansana designed a Mediterranean pattern to better compliment the space. They mixed neutrals and textures with hints of blues added per the request of the client.

The light and warm tones in the color scheme,the extensive use of natural materials, combined with all of the rotunda-like vaulted ceilings and high end furnishings throughout, makes you feel like your enjoying the sunny romance of Spain, the abundance of warm colors of Italy, the marine freshness of Greece and the spices of Morocco, all within one household! I was truly delighted when Ansana Interior Design and Charles Clayton Homes contacted me to photograph this stunning Mediterranean whole-home renovation. It was truly beautiful.
